Hi Bill:
As one of my all time favorite banjo players and musicians, it is my pleasure to inform you that you have been elected to the American Banjo Museum Hall of Fame...congratulations! While the honor will most certainly recognize your lifelong career as an outstanding performer, it is being awarded with particular respect for the countless hours you have devoted to music education of others (particularly aspiring young musicians).
Ceremonies honoring this year's inductees will take place on Friday, October 8th in Oklahoma City. We hope you will be able to attend in person to accept your honor. To encourage this museum will be happy to cover the cost of your airfare, hotel, admissions, etc.
During the ceremony we will recap your career with a video presentation containing images along with audio and video clips. If you have images, clips or career bio highlights you'd like included in the video, we will need these resources no later than May 15th to allow production of the video tributes to all inductees to be put together over the summer months.
I hope you are as pleased with this honor and I am to share the news with you.

Through my years as a singer, I have made vinyl, cassette, CD, and live recordings on FaceBook. I will sing my favorite tunes from those recordings and present them with spectacular musicians. I feel so lucky to have Dan Barrett, Joe Gilman, Shelley Denny, and Jeff Minnieweather. I am so excited to work with them and to celebrate my birthday with you!!!
